Function
We are looking for a dedicated HR Legal Compliance Officer to join a dynamic, international team. This role will provide key legal and compliance support within the company, with a focus on ensuring regulatory compliance in a changing environment. As a key member of the HR department, you will work closely with both HR and Compliance teams, helping to steer our organization through the rapid growth in the data center sector in the Nordics. This role is based in the head office in the Oslo area, with occasional travel to other offices and locations in Norway and the Nordics. Previous experience in the construction industry or similar fields is preferred, along with experience in an international working environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply relevant employment laws and regulations throughout the organization
- Ensure that the HR department operates in full compliance with Norwegian employment laws
- Provide expert guidance to HR and management on legal compliance issues, covering the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
- Keep abreast of legislative changes and advise on their impact on HR policies
- Draft, review and update HR policies to ensure compliance
- Prepare compliance reports for management and track progress
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to maintain compliance standards
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR with a focus on legal or compliance topics
- Demonstrable experience in HR compliance and legal matters in Norway
- Familiarity with the construction or similar industries is essential
- Good knowledge of labor standards, collective agreements and relevant industry regulations
- Minimum 8 years of relevant HR legal experience
- Experience with GDPR and record keeping standards
- International experience, especially in expat roles, is a plus
- Proactive and analytical mindset with strong business acumen
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in the English
