Our client’s company operates in the data center industry, providing a range of services across the Nordics region, particularly in the construction and management of data centers. They specialize in delivering tailored solutions, including infrastructure development, engineering, and operational support, to meet the growing demands of the data center market in Northern Europe.

We are looking for a full-time, experienced Physical Security Engineer for one of their group companies, which specializes in developing a new product—an innovative physcial security system for datacenters. This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

This individual will be involved across the entire lifecycle of our physical security systems, from pre-sales engagement and solution design to hands-on installation and technical support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both the design and implementation of advanced security systems, with experience in technical sales, solution delivery, and field installation. From the concept phase onward, they will work closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to develop and deploy fully integrated, high-performance security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan comprehensive physical security systems, including access control, surveillance, perimeter protection, and biometric identification.
  • Work directly with clients and internal teams to define system requirements and develop technical solutions aligned with project needs and industry standards.
  • Support technical sales by translating client requirements into practical security solutions and providing on-site demonstrations when needed.
  • Take a leading role in the hands-on installation, configuration, and commissioning of physical security systems to ensure operational readiness and client satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and optimize systems during and after installation to meet project performance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians throughout the project lifecycle, from initial engagement through final delivery and post-installation support.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and provide insights on how innovations (e.g., AI, drones, Lidar) can enhance our security ecosystem.

Job requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of physical security systems.
  • Practical experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing systems during deployment.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Milestone, Lenel, Axis, Bosch, Dormakaba, Morpho, Biometric Systems, Lidar, AI-based surveillance, Drones
  • Experience configuring systems is a plus, but design and implementation experience is essential.
  • Ability to produce basic system documentation, schematics, and installation layouts.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and support business development activities.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced project environment.
