They specialize in delivering tailored solutions, including infrastructure development, engineering, and operational support, to meet the growing demands of the data center market in Northern Europe.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in datacenter development and pre-build to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in business development, datacenter design and build, pre-build activities, and project development. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a track record of successful project management in highly technical environments.
Function
– Lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of datacenter development and build projects from inception to completion.
– Engage in business development activities to identify new opportunities and drive growth in the datacenter sector.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
– Oversee the pre-build process, including site selection, due diligence, and feasibility studies.
– Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
– Facilitate collaborative project planning sessions and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and business goals.
– Supervise the design and engineering teams to ensure designs meet required specifications and standards.
– Implement project management best practices, methodologies, and tools to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
– Manage project risks and develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
– Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
– Deliver regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
Job requirements
– Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management with specific experience in datacenter development and build projects.
– Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, architecture, and design principles.
– Proven experience in business development and ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
– Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and tools.
– In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.
– Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and compliance related to datacenter construction and operation.
