Our client’s company is a rapidly growing and dynamic organization specializing in the design and construction of large-scale Data Centres across Scandinavia, Europe, and the Middle East, with ongoing expansion into global markets. In addition to design and build services, the company develops and manufactures digital systems and standardized self-contained units tailored for the Data Centre industry.

We are currently looking for an experienced and innovative Structural Engineer to join the Lisbon office. This role is critical to ensure the structural design and successful delivery of industrial and mission-critical facilities, particularly large-scale Data Centers.
Responsibilities
- Verify that designs are compliant with specifications and contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance of designs with local laws and regulations.
- Develop calculations, specifications, construction drawings, and the structural model.
- Collaborate with other design and engineering professionals on project concepts.
- Manage a portfolio of data center structural designs.
- Lead initiatives focused on improving cost, quality, schedule, and design consistency.
- Fully understand the structural scope, identify how it interacts with other disciplines, and manage scope changes effectively.
Job requirements
- Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience in industrial facilities and/or mission-critical infrastructure design.
- Minimum experience per level:
- Intermediate Level: At least 5 years of professional experience, with 2+ years in Data Center or other mission-critical infrastructure design.
- Senior Level: At least 8 years of post-graduate experience, including 2+ years leading Data Center or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in Structural Engineering.
- Strong collaboration skills with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams.
- Working knowledge of large-scale mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and high-quality standards.
- Ability to effectively communicate design standards to internal and external partners.
- Fluency in English (mandatory); additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong team-working skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
