Function
Assists in executing tasks on data center equipment accurately, promptly, and in line with established processes and procedures. • Plays a key role in ensuring that planned maintenance is conducted safely and efficiently, working with qualified contractors to maintain quality standards. • Supports monitoring and issue resolution for electrical and mechanical systems, keeping the Chief Engineer fully briefed on maintenance activities and any necessary corrective actions. • Oversee contractors performing work in the data center. • Ensure that work supervised and carried out by contractors/vendors is recorded in the systems. • Assist with coordination and communication during emergency recovery work. • Work on 1-line equipment according to the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule, including a playbook approved by the Manager of Operations and/or the Responsible Installer. • Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, critical situations, and emergencies during normal working hours. • Be responsible for calm and clear communication in accordance with the emergency plan. • Take the initiative to ensure that quality and efficiency standards for all equipment in the data center are enhanced. • Correctly and timely administration of all tasks performed in accordance with all processes and procedures.
Job Requirements
3 or more years of relevant work experience in data centers or other critical environments. • In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data center environments, including transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS & STS units, RPP units, chillers, and CRAC/CRAH units. • Educational level in accordance with WEB level 4 (WEB = Dutch Adult and Vocational Education Act). • Electrical engineering training/education. • Safety Health Environment Checklist Contractors (Abbreviation: “VCA”). • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English, Dutch is a plus). • Good computer skills (MS Office). • Strong administrative and collaborative skills. • Eligible to work in the Netherlands without visa sponsorship.
